Challenge Coin Program
In 2012 the East Carnegie Fire Department implemented a Challenge Coin Program. Our
firefighters can achieve a coin by meeting a goal and or going above and beyond.
Fire Officer Challenge Coin Achiever(s)
Tim McDonald
Firefighter/Paramedic McDonald received a Chiefs Challenge Coin in 2013 for obtaining his National Pro Board Firefighter II Certification. During 2013 he attended several classes in preparation for his Firefighter II test. Tim also was awarded an additional challenge coin for going above and beyond on a hazardous material incident.

DJ Glancy
Firefighter Glancy received a Chiefs Challenge Coin in 2013 for obtaining his National Pro Board Firefighter I Certification. During 2013 he participated in a prep course to better prepare himself for the test.
Tom Dzambo
Firefighter/Paramedic Dazambo received a Chiefs Challenge Coin in 2013 for re-certifying his Pennsylvania Paramedic (EMT-P) Certification/License through the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Tom had to do several hours of continuous education to obtain his certification/license back.
Neal Waiter
Firefighter/EMT Waiter received a Chiefs Challenge Coin in 2013 for re-certifying his Pennsylvania EMT-B Certification/License through the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Neil had to do several hours of continuous education to obtain his certification/license back.
