Prevention and Public Education

 

 

Prevention and public education is essential to keeping the public safe and knowledgeable of the day to day risk.  In 2013 we provided instruction to 128 adults and 300 children through our fire prevention program.  All the adults completed fire extinguisher training with the use of “live fire” to achieve a real life experience in a controlled environment.  As we are always looking for ways to make our program better for the kids, in 2013 we added a mascot dog named “Dottie the Dalmatian” as one more educational tool to grab the attention of the kids.
